One Year

On August 23, it was the one year anniversary of your trip to heaven.

It's a day I'll remember forever.

I will forever remember how I hoped that I could make it home to see you one last time, but God had other plans and you left us before I even left for the airport.

I will forever remember telling a producer that went by the name of "Steak" that I was leaving  and not coming back.

I will forever remember the pain, the tears, the sorrow of never getting to see your face again. To never hear you laugh again. To never have you reassure me that I will indeed find my one true soul mate (sorry Tiff, still hasn't happened)

There have been so many times this year when I wished I could walk up to your door, fight Boo and B to the couch, and tell you all the gossip.  I hung out with ______ _______ today, and I saw _____ _______, and the one time I randomly saw _____ _______ (the one that makes me smile), all of our inside jokes that no one else will ever understand.

Tell you about the guy I was dating, tell you about our breakup(s).

I'd give anything to hear you call me Syrah again.

To go to Church with you, talk about the importance of faith. The faith that helped you through so many struggles.

To take a walk around huron and look at the siding on the houses, I'll forever remember your favorite ones.

I hope you're watching down on me and haven't missed any of the moments mentioned above.
