The Thanksgiving Post
Since Thanksgiving was just this past Thursday, this is the one about being thankful.
What am I thankful for? The usual, the same as everyone else-my family, friends, dog, job, etc.
But really I am thankful for so much more, for the personal things that no one else can share. MY MEMORIES, MY LOST LOVES, MY LIVES...
THANKFUL FOR:
1. ALL MY FRIENDS IN SAVANNAH WHOM I STILL TALK TO: MIKE MAKI, LYNN, LAUREN, DANIELLE, JAIME, CHRISTIN....
2. FOR THE FRIENDS I MADE WHEN I WAS IN NEW ORLEANS, their companionship made my time working there more enjoyable (NIKKI AND LAUREN)
3. ONE OF MY BESTIES IN THE WHOLE WORLD, DAWN. We became friends while serving a nameless restaurant in Vermillion. She claims she was sticking up for me in the kitchen, but I don't remember this incident. Regardless, we've been there for each other ever since.
4. MY SUCCESSFUL FILM CAREER, AND LITERALLY LIVING THE DREAM. I moved to LA, and supported myself working in the industry that I will always love.
5. REX! And taking Rex for walks. AND ALL DOGS.
6. EX BOYFRIENDS. You may think this is a weird thing to be thankful for, but every relationship you have shapes your life. You learn and grow, and we all know TOM MADE ME GROW. So CHANDLER, TOM, MATT, JEREMY, JAMIE, DAVE....thanks, I think.
7. JEEP WRANGLERS, I can't wait to own one again.
8. THAI FOOD, TIRAMISU, AND COFFEE
9. MY FAMILY: BOTH IMMEDIATE AND EXTENDED, MY 12,000 COUSINS AND OUR FRIENDSHIPS.
10. BACKSTREET BOYS, and their ability to keep releasing new albums!
11. LAS VEGAS-both glamorous and exhausting
12. DESERT<MOUNTAINS<OCEAN
13. ART
14. REFINISHING FURNISHING
15. HAVE I ALREADY MENTIONED DOGS?
16. THE COLOR GREEN-obsessed with it lately
17. ROCK CLIMBING
18. THE OUTDOORS, as in the woods, and HIKING
19. WHALES AND DOLPHINS
20. VINTAGE JEWELRY
21. CHAMPAGNE
22. RESORT HOTELS, you never have to leave, it so nice!
23. HOT TUBS!
24. ELVIS, did you know that if you replace the "i" with an "e" it says Elves
25. DINOSAURS, duh
26. PASSION FRUIT
27. THE YEAR I LIVED IN NYC
28. HUMMINGBIRDS, and Hummingbird Cake, same bird in the name, totally different experience
29. MY 3 TATTOOS
30. ORANGE ROSES & ORANGE POPPIES
31. GOD, AND ALL THE PROMISES HE GIVES US. The comfort, and the strength, and the trust, and the love.
32. 2 OF MY OLDEST FRIENDS: KENYA AND ANNETTE I LOVE YOU BOTH! So this year on our birthdays....
33. MY ATLANTA BOUND AND NYC FRIEND FOR LIFE, SAMANTHA. She's one of the kindest souls I know!
